Arap Soap Bar is a traditional laurel and olive oil soap rooted in the ancient soapmaking traditions of the Levant and Anatolia. This natural bar is handcrafted using a cold-process method, combining high-concentration laurel berry oil with pure olive oil — a combination that has been used for centuries to cleanse and heal skin across the Middle East and Turkey.
Unlike synthetic soaps packed with chemical foaming agents, Arap soap is made entirely from natural ingredients. The laurel oil gives it a distinctive earthy, herbal scent and powerful skin-healing properties, while the olive oil base ensures deep nourishment for even sensitive skin types.
For skin: Lather and apply to face or body, then rinse thoroughly. For hair: Wet hair, work the soap into a lather from root to tip, massage into scalp, and rinse well. Follow with an apple cider vinegar rinse if desired. For best results, allow the soap to dry fully between uses on a draining soap dish.
Arap soap — sometimes called "Arab soap" or "traditional laurel soap" — is one of the oldest soap formulations still in use today. Long before the hammam tradition spread across the Ottoman Empire, artisans in the Levant and Anatolia were crafting this bar using the same two-ingredient formula we use today: laurel oil and olive oil, saponified with lye derived from oak ash.
